W Plantation & Disappearing Fences

BTCV volunteers have been working in the park for a long time now and over the last couple of years, under BTCV supervision, The Princes Trust have taken on some of the coppicing in the W plantation (so called because of the shape of the plantation/fence on the meadow side). You may have seen previous posts on this blog.

In February and March this year a new team of Princes Trust volunteers who called themselves "The Achievement Hunters" undertook some of the work.

Above (in no particular order): "The Achievement Hunters" - Kerian, Ricky B, Tristan, James, Janet, Charlie, Robin, Nicholas, Katie, Emma, Tom & Kelly. Thanks go to you all for your hard work.

Above: Some of the work outside the plantation.

Above: Ricky B, took a 2 week placement with BTCV and showed himself to be reliable and hard working - deserving of an extra mention. Well done Ricky!

The BTCV Weekday Conservation Team has been removing fences recently around the W plantation (this is where the Woodland Walk is situated). This team of volunteers also created the woodland walk. We hope you have enjoyed using it!
