The next guided walk will be on Sunday 28th January, starting at 9.00 am.
This should coincide with a high number of wildfowl (although there might be an influx at the end of February when migration starts)
Errol retires later that week - so this will be his last 'official' walk.

Priory Country Park in Bedford
Priory Country Park started life, as many country parks do, with the county's need for gravel. It was excavated from the early 1950s until 1978. The name Priory Country Park originates from the Augustinian Priory which was on the site from 1164 until 1541. The park covers 300 acres, including flower grassland, two lakes and a wooded area. The park offers numerous activities, such as watersports, angling and cycling.
Why not learn to sail at the Priory Sailing Club? The lake is open seven days a week from April to October, and at weekends from November to March.
The canoe slalom, an exciting artificial white water course, is used by many clubs countrywide for competitions.
For those who like to fish, simply buy a day ticket from the park warden and set yourself up by the lake, which is stocked with bream, roach, perch and pike. It couldn't be simpler.
If you enjoy cycling, there is a gentle route from the country park to Willington along the old railway track.
Alternatively why not just take a gentle amble and absorb the peace and tranquillity of the area? The main pathways are well maintained, and it's an ideal place to take the dog for a walk - but please remember your poop scoop.
Keep an eye open for the Priory Diary, which gives details of forthcoming events and activities, such as pond-dipping or guided butterfly walks. It's available from the visitor centre or at the Bedford Tourist Information Centre.
If you're feeling a little peckish, why not drop into Priory Marina Beefeater which offers a wide choice of food and beverages? ~
